IRCDL 2010: Focus on Information Access and Interoperability

IRCDL is a yearly deadline for Italian researchers on Digital Libraries related topics. This year the focus of IRCDL is on information access and interoperability, in fact Digital Library Systems start to be mature, but it is time to give a more effective and personalized access to information to users and to improve interoperability among different available systems. Specific attention needs also to be given to organizational aspects for producing advanced access to really interoperable systems.

The IRCDL conferences have been launched and initially sponsored by DELOS, an EU FP6 Network of Excellence on digital libraries, together with the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua. Over the years IRCDL has become a self sustainable event that is sponsored by the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua and by the Italian Digital Libraries Community.
